MUSOGONIA - Solo For Prepared Piano, Electronics and Mixed Media

Greek divinity of memory, daughter of the Sky and the Earth, sister of Time. Mnemosyne appears to us as an echo or a gleam. Muses are born from this flash of light : without memory, sound weakens and vanishes.

Influenced by greek mythology and post-glitch aesthetics, ritualistic sound cultures of Gamelan and Gagaku, as well as Drone Music and musiques répétitives, "MUSOGONIA : Memorie d'un Respiro" is a solo electroacoustic creation that intertwines the rhythmicality of prepared piano with electroacoustic soundscapes where field recordings and family archives meet eletronics. Together they birth nuanced textures like petals of a breath remembered in glimpses and glitches.

Somewhere along the way it was forgotten by us, but the Greeks knew well that memory is a divinity. To remember is at the origin of every sound, because memory is not a simple looking-back, but a vision of what-has-not-yet-come.

The project explores a double mnemonic archeology : that of the piano -- sounds recovered within the folds of the instrument -- and that of the family, in the form of audio and visual samples. MUSOGONIA sets out to navigate the threads of memory to understand where reminiscence becomes sound, and where sound becomes a condensate of affect, or simply a flash of light.

Divinità greca della memoria, figlia del Cielo e della Terra, sorella del tempo-Crono, Mnemosyne ci appare più come un bagliore o un echo. Le muse nascono da questa fitta di luce, di una sua unione con la folgore. Senza memoria, il canto sonoro si affievolisce, fino a sparire.

Influenzato dalla mitologia greca e dall estetica post-glitch, dalle tradizione Rituali del Gamelan e del Gagaku, nonché dalla Drone Music et les musiques répétitives, "MUSOGONIA: Memorie d'un Respiro" è una creazione elettroacoustica in solo che abbina ritmicità del pianoforte preparato ad ambienti sonori dove field recording tratti da archivi familiari si incontrano con l'eletronica per produre tessiture sonore ricche in sfumature, come squame di un respiro colto nel ricordo.

Nei misteri orfici, Mnemosyne diventa fiume : flusso dal quale abbeverarsi per far sorgere creazione del nuovo.

L'abbiamo dimenticato, ma I Greci sapevano bene che la memoria è un divinità. Ricordare è l'origine di ogni canto perchè la memoria non è un semplice guardare indietro, ma un vedere cio che ancora non è accaduto.

Partendo dal ricordo per arrivare alla nascita di cio che ancora non è, Il progetto esplora dunque una doppia archeologia. Quella del pianoforte, suoni nascosti tra le corde dello strumento, quella familiare, sotto forma di samples.

MUSOGONIA si propone di navigare il filo della memoria per capire dove essa diventa suono, condensato di intensità affettiva, o semplice fitta di luce.
